Reminder of changes to Harlow stroke services

EEAST RRVs and amb on scene

At the beginning of this year, Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Harlow made important changes to their stroke services.

As a result, we are no longer able to convey suspected stroke patients to the PAH.

Please make sure that any patients with suspected symptoms are conveyed to an alternative hospital that provides stroke services, unless there is an immediate ABCD problem that requires urgent hospital intervention.

If you are unsure which hospitals offer these services, please click here to access the full update. Please be aware that this information is for EEAST staff only, and as such the bulletin can only be accessed from a Trust computer (please print and display the notice on station if you can).

If you have any questions, please contact clinical.leads@eastamb.nhs.uk.
