Research study into how you manage airways

Breathing apparatus

The research support services team will shortly be looking for up to 400 qualified paramedics to participate in an exciting study that will evaluate airway management methods for an unconscious patient. If you wish to express an early interest in this study please email research@eastamb.nhs.uk – more details about this and other upcoming projects to follow.

A prerequisite for any clinical research study is taking the introduction to good clinical practice (GCP) training; something that all members of staff are encouraged to do. There are e-learning and workshop options available free of charge, via the NHS National Institute for Health Research website and there is also a guide on how to register. Once you have completed this short course, please send us a copy of your certificate so we know you are ‘research ready’!

If you have any queries about research or GCP training, please email the team on the above email address or look at our East24 pages.
