Safety walkabout audits

The safety walkabout audit tool has been reviewed and questions on training and mentorship, capacity to consent and prophylaxis have been added.

Safety walkabout audits are done as part of the NHS ‘walk the floor’ initiative, which enables senior managers to gain an understanding of staff views and standards against a number of criteria.

The new form will come into effect from 1^st April and will be available on East24 from that date.

Datix will also be amended to reflect the additional questions; however this will not come into effect until 7^th April to enable you to submit any outstanding audits for March.
