Security reminder following RAF incident

Transparent EEAST crest

Staff are being reminded to remain vigilant following the attempted abduction of an RAF serviceman in west Norfolk this week.

There is no intelligence to suggest that ambulance staff are at risk from a similar attack. However, the national security threat remains severe and this incident serves as a reminder about the importance of general security.

Please make sure you are securing stations, not leaving vehicle keys insecure and not allowing people to tailgate through restricted access doors.

Providing it is safe to do so, challenge anyone on site that is not in uniform or displaying Trust ID. Staff should remain vigilant and if you see anything suspicious, inform the police with as much detail as possible including descriptions of individuals and vehicles.
