Staff praised in latest patient survey

Staff with patient in ambulance

More than 98% of patients treated in December were satisfied or very satisfied with the service they received – from call to care.

Patients praised frontline staff for their “fantastic work” and 100% of respondents said their call was acceptable, fairly acceptable or very acceptable.

Comments from the 122 respondents included: “ambulance crew were absolutely marvellous”, “where would we be without you”, “the ambulance service doesn’t get enough praise for what they do” and “the crew I had looking after me were fantastic! Thank you so much for caring and supporting me”.

Nearly 96% said staff were very professional and 96.6% of respondents said they were treated with dignity and respect.

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh said: “I’m very pleased with these results, especially over the busy December period, when we saw unprecedented demand. This shows the dedication our staff have to patient care and I’m really proud of what they have achieved.”
