The Trust is very saddened to report that our colleague Trevor Hearn, an ambulance fleet assistant (AFA) at Peterborough, passed away on Sunday after a period of illness.

Trevor was well known around his patch; he started working with us eight years ago and was an important member of the AFA team, supporting the preparation of emergency vehicles and so helping the delivery of patient care. Trevor was a well-respected and much loved colleague who will be very sorely missed by those who knew him.

Chief Executive, Anthony Marsh, said: “I am deeply saddened to have lost a highly regarded member of staff. At this difficult time, I am sure everyone within the Trust would like to join me to convey their deepest sympathies to Trevor’s family, friends and colleagues.”

“Trevor was a dedicated and respected colleague and has helped thousands of patients over the years by keeping our vehicles well prepared to respond to emergencies. He will be remembered as a kind, caring man and we will miss him both as a work colleague and a friend.”

Trevor’s funeral arrangements will be shared as soon as they are available.

If you’ve been affected by Trevor’s death and need support, please remember that the Trust’s employee assistance programme is available at any time.
