Thursday 4th February is ‘Time to Talk’ day, a day dedicated to the awareness of mental health.
Run by charity, Time to Change and supported by MIND, the day aims to get as many people as possible, across England, talking about mental health.
A recent survey by MIND showed that 8 out of 10 emergency service staff think colleagues would be more comfortable talking about physical health than mental health.
Mental health can be considered a taboo subject for people to talk about. Time to Talk day aims to break the silence surrounding it.
It’s easy to get involved. All you need to do is have a conversation about mental health with a colleague, team-mate, friend or loved one today.

Places are still available for the Blue Light manager training programme. The programme is a national initiative that aims to better support the mental health of people working in the emergency services. Click here for the list of courses.
