Senior managers have reported excellent feedback and praise for staff from recent health overview and scrutiny committee (HOSC) meetings in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and central Bedfordshire.

The HOSC meetings are run by local authorities and the Trust is invited to update members on progress and answer their questions.

This week we attended Central Bedfordshire HOSC and gave an update on the Trust’s significant progress. Councillors were impressed with the change in the service and were particularly pleased with the increase in emergency cover put in place in the central Bedfordshire area.

Councillor Carole Hegley later tweeted:

Simon, who attended, said: “The committee were full of praise for our staff and volunteers and were very pleased with the improvements and changes we have made over the last year across both north and south Bedfordshire. I would like to thank all our staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to help us deliver a better service to patients.”

Similar feedback was given at the Cambridgeshire HOSC meeting last week. A few committee members have had to use our service recently and were very complimentary about our staff.

Locality Director Matt Broad attended a very positive Norfolk HOSC meeting a few weeks ago and said “there was lots of support for the Trust’s development”.
