Update: apprentices transfer to new provider

Transparent EEAST crest

Over the past six to eight weeks, EEAST has been working closely with our new main education provider for apprenticeship programmes, MediPro, to transfer apprentices as smoothly as possible to them.

This has involved transferring all relevant data to assess where individual learners are on their apprenticeship journey and identify what support is needed to reach the End Point Assessment (EPA).

Alongside this we have been working hard to ensure the support needed in practice is put in place. Below are a few key points:

Transfer of Learners

Based on shared data MediPro will begin to enrol learners on to their learner management system in cohorts. All learners will be contacted by their dedicated Education Training Officer (ETO) by the 26th of November to introduce themselves and to work with individual students to recommence their learning. Those students identified as still requiring their blue light training will be contacted separately by MediPro with a date, time, and location when this will take place.

Support in Practice

To ensure there is academic support embedded in locality teams, MediPro has appointed ‘Outreach ETOs’ across all sectors of EEAST. These Outreach ETOs will work with local management teams and Clinical Practice Specialists to ensure a joined-up approach in supporting your individual learner needs and to make academic and apprentice specific support easily accessible within localities.

End Point Assessment

Learners who are at or nearing End Point Assessment will be supported to achieve this in a timely way. MediPro and EEAST have worked together to identify those learners nearest EPA and to ensure sufficient EPA places are secured with FutureQuals.
