Weather warnings for snow and ice this weekend

RRV in the snow in Burnham-on-Crouch

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for snow and ice across the East of England that begin from 3pm tomorrow (6th February) and are expected to continue until midnight on Monday (8th February).

On Sunday, an amber warning for snow has been issued for eastern parts of Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

The Trust has plans in place to deal with unexpected and unpredicted extreme weather conditions. Each locality area also has stocks of equipment and supplies for winter.

Please allow extra time for travel to and from work over this period. If you have difficulty getting into work owing to the snow, or have any safety concerns, please contact your duty LOM team as the Trust may be able to arrange transport.

The Trust has two specialist HART teams who are able to respond in adverse conditions, which are based at Melbourn and Great Notley.

Please note that Public Health England (PHE) has also issued a cold weather alert for the whole of England which can be found here.

Please stay safe and warm while out on shift or travelling to and from work.
