Work continues for CAD update

Bedford EOC 1

We will be implementing the new Cleric CAD in Bedford EOC in the early hours of Wednesday, 18th November.

The implementation plan is progressing well and work continues on the final system developments and IT infrastructure in preparation for the go live. A number of ‘train the trainers’ have also been to Cleric and have been working with the CAD implementation and EOC training team to develop the training materials. Training for Bedford call handlers and dispatchers and some of the RCC team from Chelmsford also started last week.

To ensure the Trust is completely focussed on the Cleric CAD implementation in Bedford, all non-critical meetings, training and other abstraction work planned for the week commencing 16th November should be postponed, as we will need to ensure EOC, IT and operational staff and managers are available to support the go live period. Please also note that the EOC and IT teams are at capacity in delivering this project so other requests for assistance or work may be delayed or refused whilst the CAD project is prioritised. Please bear with the EOC and IT staff whilst they work through this focussed period. The new system is planned to be rolled out to the other EOCs in February and will give us a great new stable system for 2016.

We are developing guidance for patient facing operational staff in Beds and Herts so you know how the change to the Cleric system will affect you.  This will be distributed in the next fortnight.
