The annual Brighton and Hove Pride will be taking place next month (August) and staff are invited to march alongside our ambulance colleagues from across the UK.

Organised by South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb), staff attending on Saturday, 6th August will support the LGBT community, represent the ambulance service and promote the value of equal opportunities.

As well as the march, members of staff are also invited to attend the first National Ambulance LGBT Network Conference on Friday, 5th August.

The event will take place at Amex Stadium in Brighton at 10am- 4.30pm, and includes keynote speakers and workshops on topics such as:

  • mental health and LBGT people
  • supporting transgender patients
  • domestic violence in LGBT relationships

The conference is free to attend and lunch and refreshments will be provided. All delegates will also receive certificates for CPD purposes. Please note a £50 ‘no show’ fee will apply to any non-attendances.

To reserve a place at the conference, and advice on accommodation, please email asmina.ichowdhury@secamb.nhs.uk.
