Guidance on pre-election dealings with MPs and councillors

EXEC UPDATE

As you may be aware the Local Elections in England are coming up and Polling Day is scheduled for the beginning of May.

NHS guidelines are clear that the Pre-Election Period starts for East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust from Monday 28 March 2022.

During this period, all of our staff must be careful around our interactions with political representatives and local campaigns.

The published NHS guidelines for NHS organisations for 2022 can be found here online.

Any meetings with MPs, Councillors and other representatives should be kept to a minimum – or ideally postponed until after 5 May - to make sure our activities do not influence campaigning.

Details of visits should already be sent to the Public Affairs team (PublicAffairs@EASTAMB.nhs.uk) and Oliver Rogers (OCE.EEAST@eastamb.nhs.uk) for guidance and co-ordination.

If you have any questions then please do get in-touch with the emails above.
