Change of ambulance uniform supplier

Chelmsford Remembrance Sunday parade 2014

As the trust moves closer to the end of the national contract with Special Wear for the supply of Ambulance Uniform, the passage across to the new supplier, Cooneen, has already started and many of our locality team members and managers have now received their portal awareness training.

Those who are yet to receive an account will be allocated a link once the portal is established and the trust has more control over who should be ordering garments.

As a trust we are grateful to Special Wear for their support over the last eleven years, the company has been an integral part of the supply chain for ambulance uniform as far back when we were three legacy trusts, and we are appreciative of their assistance.

Moving forward, Cooneen will be receiving various garments into stock during the next six months and ‘specifiers’ and ‘specifier approvers’ will be able to order uniform on a for one basis once the system goes live. All staff should refer to:

Appendix A: Condemnations, Resignations and Retirements, and the Uniform Replacement Procedure document, within the Uniform and Personal Standards Policy Version 8.6

This document can be found on the Trust Intranet and Specifiers and Specifier Approvers can order using the guidelines set out within that document.
