JESIP moves on – special edition of newsletter

A special edition of the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Programme (JESIP) News has been published, as the first phase of the programme draws to a close with 10,000 personnel trained to work more effectively at the scene of major incidents.

You can read the newsletter by downloading it here.

The central JESIP team are now working on the transition phase of the programme, in which emergency services become responsible for making interoperability normal business.

Ministers have agreed that JESIP should be “embedded, maintained and developed as part of business as usual within the emergency services.”

The programme has therefore been renamed to the Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles and EEAST’s resilience team will be working to ensure these become part of commander training and our everyday response.
