Ambulance staff 'amazing individuals' says patient survey

Module seven group finishes course Melbourn

Our ambulance staff are ‘amazing individuals’, a ‘true inspiration’ and ‘the hardest working people in the UK’ according to a new patient survey.

Patients and their relatives who used the service in May praised staff at the Trust - with 98% saying they were satisfied with the service that they received.

Just shy of 100% of respondents described the ambulance crew who attended to them as ‘very professional’, and more than 95% of people ranking their experience of dialling 999 as ‘acceptable’ or ‘very acceptable’.

Chief Executive Anthony Marsh said of the results: “We’re delighted that patients are continuing to be happy with the service we provide. All of our staff are working incredibly hard at the moment to improve the ambulance service and it’s great to see that reflected.”

Other comments praised the promptness, friendliness, and professionalism of the staff, and one survey participant remarked: “[I have] nothing but praise for the crew. At a very worrying time they were respectful and showed great care with my husband.”

And the most heartening comment came from a former patient who believes she owes the fact she is still here to EEAST, saying: “I do believe that they saved my life and I am eternally grateful.”

Well done all!
