An update to guidance for duplicate calls

Chelmsford HEOC

There has recently been a change to national guidance on reporting of duplicate calls.

To comply with this, if a second call is received of higher priority than the first (e.g. initial Green 2 code, second call for same patient received and coded Red 2), resources need to be stood down from the first and allocated to the second call. This will also enable the crew to receive the latest information on the patient.

For the purposes of past end-of-shift or past meal break point, this will be treated as the same patient/incident; so whilst a stand down message will be received, you should continue with the second call following the information given.
