Arrangements for the funeral of Nick Lee

The arrangements for the funeral of Nick Lee which takes place on Friday 7^th January have been released. They are:

Cortege Arrival

The funeral cortege will be led from Watton by a marked response car. It is expected to arrive at approximately 10:55. Upon arrival at the crematorium the cortege will join a Piper, two CRU Outriders and a Standard bearer. These will pass through a Guard of Honour formed on the approach to the crematorium building.

Staff Arrival & Dress expectations

If you wish to be part of the Guard of Honour, please ensure that you are at the crematorium by 10:40 at the latest. For those wearing uniform, please make sure that this is current trust issue without any individual changes. Medals may be worn if awarded.

Although a cold, dry day is currently forecast, please make sure that you are prepared to be standing outside for a period of time.

Car Parking

There is ample parking at the crematorium, but please arrive in good time to ensure that you are not rushing to add any unnecessary stress to the day.

Please be mindful that there is another service prior to Nick’s that will finish around 10:40. Toilet facilities are available on site.

Covid Restrictions

Face masks are not necessary when waiting as part of the Guard of Honour (as you will be outside and 2 metres apart) but must be worn when congregating before lining up, and again once the coffin has entered the crematorium, and until you have dispersed from the service. Please try to wear the standard trust issue face masks for uniformity.

Please ensure that you have taken a LFT on the morning of the funeral, and do not attend if you are symptomatic and awaiting PCR results.
