AWE's Women's Health Roadshow 2022

This summer the government launched the Women's Health Strategy which highlighted the need for a new progressive approach to the health care and support that is provided to women within the UK.

Although women in the UK on average live longer than men, women spend a significantly greater proportion of their lives in ill health and disability when compared with men. This 10-year strategy along with the appointment of the UKs first Women's Health Ambassador, Professor Dame Lesley Regan, it looks to reform and address the injustices around women's health issues that have persisted for too long.

At EEAST, females and those who identify as females make up around 50% of the workforce. The AWE network wants to start positive conversations around women's health issues, look at how our health affects us within the workplace and our lives in general.

The week beginning 17th October till 21st the AWE Team will be visiting sites across EEAST with our events tent full of information, products and interactive learning resources, exploring every aspect of Women's Health.
