Christmas message from the Multi-Faith Network

Christmas is just around the corner and the Trust Multi-Faith Network are taking the opportunity to remind us about the meaning of Christmas for Christians.

Christmas is about Jesus Christ – ‘Christ’ meaning God’s chosen one, anointed, the Saviour of the world.  The Bible accounts tell us that Jesus is God’s ultimate present to us. He is exactly the Christmas gift we need, to mend our broken relationship with God. Most of us have rejected God as our Lord and chosen other things instead but, because of Jesus, God calls us to come back to Him and He will accept us.  God’s unconditional love. The best love gift ever.

We at the Multi-Faith Network hope you all find some time to enjoy the festive season, despite the Winter pressures. We understand many of you will be making sacrifices during this period to ensure Christmas cover, and we are truly grateful for your dedication.

Please bear in mind that Christmas remains a religious festival for many of our staff who may be sacrificing their right to partake in annual worship. The Winter period is a holy time for many religious communities including Christians, Jews and Sikhs. Therefore, please be mindful to support your religious colleagues during this time.

Merry Christmas from the all of us at the Multi-Faith Network. We hope and pray you find some time to spend with those you love. Enjoy the video.

Multi-Faith Network is a staff network within EEAST for any member of staff with faith or with an interest to learn more. We are an equality and diversity group, who aim to celebrate faith, support staff to express their faith at work, and educate and steer the Trust on faith related issues.
