College of Paramedics update

Graham Clark

After 6 years in post, Graham Clark has concluded his term as Eastern region Council Member for the College of Paramedics.

Graham says “It’s been an absolute privilege to represent my region and it has given me an incredible opportunity to develop the profession and organisation. When I took on the role, the region had 365 full members. The newly elected Eastern Council Member now represents over 1,600 full members and an additional large number of student paramedic members and associate members which include EMTs, CFRs, support services etc. As a result of such strong membership numbers, we saw a fantastic turnout for the Council member elections, the highest number the organisation has ever seen for this role.

My congratulations to Helen Hardy who was elected Council member at Tuesday’s College of Paramedics AGM. My work with the College however is not complete, I will continue in my role as Chair of the Diversity Steering Group, member of the National Conference planning team and continue my work within the Royal Charter Task & Finish group.”

“I feel privileged to be taking over from Graham as representative for the Eastern region members of College of Paramedics. I know that he has contributed a great deal to building the membership and ensuring that your voices are heard' says Helen.

"This is an important time for progression of the profession, with the Advanced Paramedic role being explored from various perspectives. I am excited to get involved and look forward to hearing from those who have a contribution to make, including your ideas for CPD and how we can make this inclusive to all members in the region.

A huge thank you to Graham for his excellent work over the last six years, I hope that we can work together to ensure that our diverse membership is represented effectively.”

Please get in touch with Helen if you would like to be involved.
