Could you help train or support our community responder schemes?

Generic CFR pic

We’re on the look-out for Trust colleagues to help train our community first responders (CFRs) across the region, and provide a clinical link between responder groups and the organisation.

Supporting our community collaboration training department, we want volunteers who can help deliver high-quality training to new responders, and input clinically into CFR group meetings to help support clinical knowledge and development.

As a volunteer trainer and ‘link’, you would:

  • assist in delivering training packages to CFR groups
  • help identify and assist in rectifying, and reporting, any shortfall in volunteers’ clinical ability that may require development
  • work with the CFR coordinator to ensure training records are updated, e.g. CFR reassessments
  • offer clinical guidance and support to the group volunteer trainer as required
  • attend regular meetings with the scheme coordinator and volunteers
  • act as a communications link between the group and its relevant community partnership training officer
  • assist the group in restocking consumable items as and when required
  • offer advice and incident debriefs.

This opportunity is open to all clinical colleagues (subject to approval from your duty locality officer or senior locality manager), and anyone that chooses to volunteer will be supported by the Trust in delivering its approved CFR training.
