The East of England Leadership Academy would like to share details of the following leadership development offers.
Introduction to Coaching Skills
The aim of this workshop is to give managers some simple tools and thoughts that will help them adopt a coaching approach to managing their people. On the global stage of leadership and management, coaching is firmly recognised as a must-have skill set for any leader. The benefits of coaching include greater employee engagement, increased motivation, reduction in health and safety incidents, increased productivity, greater overall efficiency, and many other benefits that are widely reported. This is not a coaching course – it is a management development course that looks at coaching.
Throughout the course we will explore the following questions:
The workshop will be set up as a safe place for learning. As a manager, there can be very little room for experimentation in business-as-usual activities. This workshop will therefore act as a place where delegates can embrace the vulnerability required to do something new or different and practise their coaching skills before ‘going live’ in their daily operations. The delivery style of this workshop will be interactive. Delegates will mainly be talking to their peers, and exploring new or existing thoughts. They will then get the opportunity to practise coaching with one another in breakout rooms.
