NHS x Headspace: Supporting colleagues through mindful movement

An introduction to mindful movement, an online session with Headspace

Any moment can be mindful, even when you're on the move. Our friends at Headspace are here to explore how mindfulness can bring a new perspective to movement and exercise.

In this webinar, you’ll explore how mindful movement can boost your mood, and share our favourite do-anywhere workouts from the Headspace Move Mode.

Don’t worry, if you can’t face another webinar sat at your desk… Pop in your headphones, click on the link or dial in via your phone, and enjoy a nice walk whilst listening along podcast style!

Please note, the Teams link will be shared 24 hours ahead of the session taking place. We suggest in the meantime you place a hold in your dairy until the link is shared.

Headspace is free for all NHS staff until 31 December 2022, for more information and how to sign up click here.

NHS x Invictus Games Foundation- How learning from the Invictus Games

Competitors can support your wellbeing

When we spend most of our working life taking care of others, we often need that reminder to take care of ourselves.  Looking after your physical health is key to supporting your overall health and wellbeing, including your mental health. As such, we are pleased to be working with the Invictus Games Foundation (IGF) to offer physical health and wellbeing support to our NHS people. IGF will be providing a series of four live webinars, hosted by veterans to address some of the key and most challenging issues being faced by the NHS workforce as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This session will be presented by Paul Vice.

Paul was a Royal Marines Commando who was injured during his sixth operational tour of Afghanistan. Paul suffered the loss of many colleagues, resulting in a feeling of moral injury and a reliance on alcohol. Paul will detail his journey to recovery and rehabilitation through the critical impact of sport and physical activity.
