Improving our estates

Side of RRV with lozenge

As you may already know, we have ambitious plans to invest significantly in our estates over the next few years so that we can provide modern, fit-for-purpose facilities for our staff while improving the service we can provide to the public.

As part of this long-term project, we need to explore how we can improve our HQ, ambulance operation centres (AOCs) and training centres to provide a better working environment for our staff, increase our resilience and give us greater flexibility to manage changes in demand in the future.

Over the next few weeks, contractors will be visiting our HQ at Melbourn and AOCs in Chelmsford, Norwich and Bedford to look at the facilities and find out more about how our services are provided. Staff from EEAST will also be visiting AOCs around the country to learn about how other ambulance trusts manage these areas.

This work is at a very early fact-finding stage, and it is likely to take several years before any decisions will be made. We appreciate how important this is to everyone at EEAST and will keep all of our staff updated as the project progresses.
