Incident management team set-up for Storm Eunice

Transparent EEAST crest

The Trust has set up an incident management team to oversee our response to the high winds from Storm Eunice following a second red weather warning being put in place at 4am this morning by the Met Office for parts of our region.

The team met this morning to gain assurance of our planning and business continuity and will continue to assess the impact of the storm.

Staff should take extra care and perform a dynamic risk assessment. For patient transport services, there is a separate dynamic risk assessment to operations.

Please also be mindful of environmental factors in your risk assessment, such as avoiding standing or parking under trees or anything else that could be blown over and cause harm or damage.

For operational staff, please wear hard hats outside of the vehicle to protect yourself from flying debris. Staff should also wear hi-vis jackets outside of the vehicle to make sure you are visible to colleagues and other emergency services.

If you have any concerns or queries, please contact your line manager.
