International Control Room Week 2021

October saw EEAST once again highlight our amazing AOC staff during International Control Room Week.

Throughout the week, which was celebrated from 18^th-24^th October, staff nominated their colleagues to receive a special shoutout on our social media accounts, including Stevenage PTS control room and Essex AOC. You can take a look at the shout outs and nominations on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts.

EEAST also shared an array of ‘Did You Know?’ posts to target a number of regular misconceptions that the public may have when it comes to calling for an Ambulance, such as how Call Handlers are unable to give an ETA, and the types of training our staff have to go through before beginning their vital role.

To end the week, EEAST’s Instagram account answered a number of questions submitted by the public, with many keen to learn more about the recruitment and training process.

Now more than ever we are seeing the demand that is being experienced by our staff, and we would like to thank you all for your continued hard work and dedication, helping to provide such an essential service to our communities.
