After the Trust received the sad news last week about Keith Marshall, community first responder and trust user group member, we'd like to share his funeral details with you.

Keith was well known across the Trust, but our Suffolk teams will be particularly familiar with his work as Keith spent much of his time volunteering across the county, most recently acting as co-ordinator for CFR groups in the area.

Well-liked and respected, Keith’s efforts were recognised in 2014 when he was given the Trust’s Distinguished Service Award, for the effort and value that he gave to the service and to his community. At the time, Keith said: “EEAST has given me one of the most rewarding compliments a volunteer could ever imagine and I am immensely proud in being chosen to receive the award.”

Chief Executive Robert Morton said: “I had the pleasure to meet Keith and I am writing to his wife, Mary, on behalf of the Trust to express our sympathies and support during this terrible time.

“Keith’s knowledge and expertise made him an incredibly valued asset to the Trust, and we will be forever grateful for the thousands of hours he volunteered to help our service – whether through his community first responder or Trust User Group work. Keith was a friend to the teams that had the pleasure of working with him, and he will be sorely missed.”

Keith’s funeral will be taking place on Thursday, 15th December at 2.15pm at Seven Hills Crematorium in Ipswich (IP10 0FG).

If you plan to attend, you’re asked to wear either operational or dress uniform or traditional funeral attire.

Mary has requested no flowers but donations to CFRs and the air ambulance would be very much appreciated. There is a "just giving" page set up by TUG member, Alistair Campbell -https://www.justgiving.com/inmemoryKeithMarshall should you wish to make a donation.
