Meeting Basic Needs – Successes So Far

Hopefully by now you will have seen our programme running across the summer to help our people resolve longstanding issues. We designed this programme to help reduce frustrations which we heard when engaging with you at our last round of QI Cafes.

To date, we have held two events which focused on helping people with issues relating to recruitment and rostering services. Across both events, we helped 10 members of staff find a resolution to their problem.

One staff member who works in a dual role at EEAST and who presented to us with a longstanding rostering issue said: ‘I had experienced problems for several months as I was showing in the incorrect ratio of job roles on GRS. It was preventing me from booking leave. Within 10 minutes, the rostering team had identified the problem and managed to take steps to rectify it. I am now showing correctly on GRS and can go on holiday finally! Thank you!’

Our next event is taking place on 25 August 2023 and the topic shall be uniform. The event will be held at Stevenage Ambulance Station.
