Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Stock

Mental Health Awareness Week this year is happening between May 9th and 15th.

Although there is a general feeling that the worst of the COVID pandemic is behind us, a lot of the pressures resulting from the past two years are still with us, and many of us are facing new challenges – such as the additional pressures of the rising cost of living and the worries for the future during what can feel like a time of global instability.

The importance of taking care of your health and wellbeing, therefore remains as important as ever.

Using the grid below can help you take a snapshot of your mental wellbeing and decide if you need more support.

Read vertically down each column and, using the statements in each row, rate yourself as to which column best matches your wellbeing. e.g., you may feel that you feel that you are in the yellow column "surviving".

If you find that you don't fit in one column, decide for yourself which column best fits you for the higher percentage of the day.

The blocked colour boxes at the bottom of the grid then offer reflective actions for you to consider engaging with.

If you need help finding resources to help you carry out any of the actions in the grid, or if you need any support with mental health issues, the Mental Health section of the Wellbeing Hub has lots of resources and ideas.
You can also contact the Wellbeing team directly at: wellbeing@eastamb.nhs.uk

You can also find support from outside the Trust that is targeted at ambulance service staff at: Blue Light Together.
