Message to our QSIR community

QSIR Practioner Programme Objectives

Recently, NHS England revamped its quality improvement branding and NHS Impact was launched. Ten recommendations were made to align priorities for improvement nationally.

We continue to work with NHS England to understand how we will adopt these recommendations at EEAST. It represents an exciting time for us as we look to transform and improve our service, finding innovative ways to continue to deliver the best quality care to our communities and make the organisation an excellent place to work.

As part of the rebrand, the Quality, Service Improvement and Redesign (QSIR) training, which we have been delivering at EEAST for more than five years now, has been transferred to a new provider, Advancing Quality Alliance (AQuA). In this time, almost 200 of our people have benefited from the course content and have been able to use it in their place of work to drive positive change.

Whilst this change won’t affect those who still would like to undertake this development in the future, everyone who has completed the course previously will have their contact details transferred to the Northern Care Alliance (NCA), who shall be the data controllers on behalf of AQuA. Those who have previously completed the course should have received an email advising of this transfer of details, to comply with GDPR legislation.

If you agree with your details to be transferred to Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, you need take no further action.

If you do not want your details to be transferred, please send an email to england.mixedmethods@nhs.net with ‘No transfer to NCA’ in the subject header no later than midnight on Friday 25 August 2023.

To find out more about quality improvement here at EEAST, please visit our intranet page or email us at QI@eastamb.nhs.uk and a member of the team shall be in touch.

We also hope to meet you at one of our upcoming QI Cafes (dates subject to change but shall be advertised locally ahead of the event) or as part of our Meeting Basic Needs programme running across this summer and autumn, to resolve any long-standing issues which you have.
