North Norfolk ‘roadshow’ aiming to recruit more CFRs

April has seen the Norfolk CFR take to the road as part of a recruitment roadshow

April has seen the Norfolk Community First Responder (CFR) team take to the road to commence a ‘’recruitment roadshow’’.

The Community Response Manager, Andrew Barlow, volunteer administrator Rachel Hillier, the co-ordinators and CFRs for each group have visited Holt, Sheringham, Cromer, North Walsham, Fakenham, Wells and Mundesley.

The aim of the roadshow is to recruit more volunteers as well as promoting the great work they all do and each of the targeted areas are prime holiday destinations around the North Norfolk coast, so having new CFRs will help to support our CFR Groups in the coming year.

Andrew Barlow, the local Community Response Manager for Norfolk and Waveney, has worked with the town and parish councils from each of these areas and has managed to secure funding of between £30 and £55 for any new recruits which will assist and support the cost of their training and workbook.

“The councils have been very engaged and supportive of the great work our CFRs do and are very happy to support this great initiative,” said Andrew.
