PROMPT Train the Trainer

Are you passionate about maternity? Do you want to learn more about maternity, birth and obstetric emergencies? Are you enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and educating others? Can you offer at least one day per year to deliver education?

We are offering up to 14 EEAST registered clinicians the opportunity to undertake the PROMPT maternity Train the Trainer’s (TTT) programme. This is a virtual course taking place on the below dates:

8^th February 2023
15^th March 2023

About PROMPT:

PROMPT provides training for maternity units and a number of UK ambulance services; helping midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists and other maternity team members be safer and more effective. Watch the below video to learn more about PROMPT.

About the course:

The Pre-Hospital PROMPT training package provides guidance and materials for paramedic and maternity teams wishing to work together to introduce pre-hospital maternity emergencies training, for paramedics and ambulance staff, in their local ambulance trust or maternity unit.

Upon completion of the programme, the successful candidates will be supporting the delivery of PROMPT to EEAST pre-hospital clinicians alongside the trust midwife, and you will be expected to deliver at least one training session per year.

What do we want from you?

To be passionate about maternity/obstetrics, maternal safety and education provision.

You must be a registered clinician post 2-year registration.
Have a or are working towards an Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent qualification.

If you met these criteria, please fill out the application form below. This includes three application questions at the end of the form which require a 500-word answer per question.

The deadline to submit the application is 30^th December. Your application will then be considered and if you are successful, you will be contacted.

Please note that if you are successful, you will be required to attend the course in your own time. Abstractions will not be available, however shift swaps where possible can be requested locally and approved at the discretion of local management.
