Resus Council e-ALS Applications Now Open

EEAST is pleased to announce that the CPD programme will be funding over 80 places on Resuscitation Council e-ALS courses taking place over the next 7 months. 

EEAST CPD programme has seen investment in online CPD programme ParaPass to our clinicians, Supplied by Class publishing. The program will soon be extended to include a variety of CPD development opportunities including Paediatric life support, clinical skills, PHEM feedback courses, mental health courses. Look out for further details to follow on how to apply for these courses.

These are 1 day courses which require pre-learning before attendance.

Resuscitation Council UK’s e-ALS course blends a day of e-learning with a day of face-to-face practical learning. With over 20,000 healthcare professionals trained every year, ALS covers numerous essential skills in resuscitation, including delivery of adult CPR, recognition and management of the deteriorating patient and working in a team during emergency situations. 

During the course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to:

  • Recognise and manage the deteriorating patient using a structured ABCDE approach;
  • Deliver standardised CPR in adults;
  • Manage a cardiac arrest by working with a multidisciplinary team in an emergency situation;
  • Become an effective and confident team member and leader by utilising non-technical skills.

PGSC - Post Graduate School Cambridge

  • 20th October EAAA 0700-1900
  • 22nd October NARS 0700-1900
  • 16th November EAAA 0700-1900
  • 26th November NARS 0700-1900
  • 13th December EAAA 0700-1900
  • 4th March NARS 0700-1900
  • 18th March NARS 0700-1900
  • 20th March 2023 PGSC - Cambridge 0700-1900
  • 21st March 2023 PGSC - Cambridge 0700-1900

Please read the below application criteria before submitting your application:

Applications to the Resus Council e-ALS course are available to substantive registrants only and close on the 09/09/2022 at midnight.

  • Priority will be given to those who have not received funded development within the past 2 years
  • The training will take place in bases in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.
  • Each applicant can apply for 1 place on an RC ALS course
  • Each applicant will get up to 5 choices for their place. 
  • By submitting this application form you will be added to a shortlist of registrants who are interested in    attending a Resuscitation Council e-ALS course. Places are not guaranteed until a confirmation on a course is received from the Learning & Development Team. 
  • These CPD courses will be attended in the staff members own time. Abstractions will not be available.
  • Each place is funded by the CPD program. The Trust can not support in accommodation, travel or subsistence funding.
  • The short list will be held until the 01/04/2023 when this list will be closed.
