Staff and volunteers launch Bury defib

Staff and community first responders (CFRs) have come together to launch a new community public access defibrillator (CPAD) at Norton Village Hall in Bury.

The defibrillator was given to the Chairman of Norton Parish Council on 25^th June by Head of Emergency Control Centre’s (EOC) Gary Morgan and the Woolpit, Elmswell, Norton, Tostock (WENT) CFR group.

It’s the 12^th CPAD within the group’s area, with devices provided by the Trust or community organisations like the Coop.

The group were in full force promoting the new devices and offering residents a chance to use the defibrillator.

The WENT group, which is approaching its 9^th birthday, consists of four small teams all funded by local communities.
