Stryker restraints

Stryker has moved away from their conventional fabricated trolley restraints and introduced new Infection Prevention and Control-compliant XPR restraints to fit our Stryker trolleys.

These new restraints are now being issued by stores and the previous ones will be slowly phased out.

This video explains how the restraints should be attached to the Stryker Power-Pro XT trolley (found on Fiat ambulances) and Stryker Power-Pro TL (found on PTS Ford vehicles).  

The new restraints are fitted differently to the trolleys, therefore they may sit slightly differently on service users. All restraints MUST be utilised on the trolleys to ensure service users are safely secured during transportation.  

Finally, due to the difference in the restraints, both old and new restraints cannot be mixed together.
If found, old restraints must be removed and replaced with new ones.
