Trust staff support Biggleswade fire crews to raise money for charities

Fire engine pull Biggleswade November 2014

Staff from Biggleswade station joined fire service colleagues and volunteers on Sunday (16th November 2014) to help pull a fire engine more than two miles to raise money for five charities.

They took turns to pull the fire engine from the Biggleswade industrial estate to the town centre. Anna, who took part, said: “It was hard work pulling especially when going slightly uphill but was very worthwhile, we all worked really well and the local public were really supportive on the day.”

So far more than £600 has been raised for the Firefighters Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, ActionAid, Autism Bedfordshire and St John’s Hospice in Moggerhanger.

A big well done to all Trust staff who took part - Anna, Lindsey, Steve, Vicky and Tracy!
