Following yesterday’s incident in Liverpool, the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) has today (15 November) taken the decision to raise the UK National Threat Level from substantial, meaning an attack is likely, to severe, meaning an attack is highly likely.

Staff are reminded of the importance of ensuring both stations and vehicles are secure at all times and that staff don’t allow people to tailgate them into buildings or into secure areas.

While vigilance is always important it is even more important at this time and anyone witnessing a suspicious person or situation should report this to the police immediately via 999
