Updated changes to Lateral Flow Testing eligibility

Changes have been made to Lateral Flow Testing (LFT) from 31^st August 2022.

All patient-facing staff are eligible to order LFT testing kits from GOV.UK for the following situations:

• Asymptomatic LFT testing
• Staff who have COVID-19 symptoms are eligible for LFT testing

Non-patient facing staff are no longer eligible to order LFT testing kits from Gov.UK, but please note:

• The Trust has a supply of LFT testing kits available for staff who are no longer able to order from GOV.UK These kits will be distributed around the localities for staff to collect from their local management teams.
• The Trust LFT kits are available for staff who are identified as a contact of a COVID positive case and/or staff who are symptomatic with COVID -19 symptoms.

All patient-facing staff are encouraged to continue to test routinely.

All staff who present with COVID-19 symptoms must still be referred to the COVID team EEASTCovidLeads@eastamb.nhs.uk who will continue to offer support.
