Watford student para completes his first half marathon

Congratulations to Student Paramedic Luke who has completed his first half marathon.

Luke, who was raising money for Huntington’s Disease Association, ran the Cardiff Half marathon on Sunday, 4th October.

He finished in an impressive two hours and nine seconds – six minutes faster than his original target time!

He said: “We had an amazing day and the atmosphere was fantastic. The whole route was lined with supporters, cheering us on and supplying us with jelly babies!

“We had a fundraising target of £400 and to date we have raised over £1100! The support and generosity has blown me away, and left me proud of my achievement in promoting and supporting what is a great charity.

“We are now looking to sign up to our next run, another half or possibly a 20-miler! The medals are addictive.”

You can still sponsor Luke – to show your support please visit his JustGiving page
