Identifying that you or someone you know is stressed is the first step. This Stress Awareness Month, we want to share some tips that might help you with feelings of stress or burnout.
What to do if you are stressed?
try talking about your feelings to a friend, family member or health professional.
use easy time-management techniques to help you take control
use calming breathing exercises
plan ahead for stressful days or events – planning long journeys or making a list of things to remember can really help
consider peer support, where people use their experiences to help each other.
Use the EEAST 5 Ways to Wellbeing digital resource to access suggestions to help with managing stress The Five Ways to Wellbeing. Research carried out by the New Economics Foundation found that these five ways to wellbeing can help to reduce stress and anxiety.
Headspace sessions for stress
Within the Headspace app there is a dedicated stress and anxiety section with lots of useful content, however, you will need a Headspace account to access the information.

Headspace Headspace is the mindfulness and meditation app is available for staff across EEAST to download for free and provides unique tools and resources to help reduce stress and anxiety.
