NSFT report into deaths ‘watered down’BBC News, Look East and Newsnight reported on evidence it found of changes being made to early drafts of a critical report into how Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust mismanaged its mortality figures. The report says that earlier drafts included language around governance failures that were missing in the final version.

CQC recognises improvements at EEASTA press release sent out about EEAST showing further progress with its regulator, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), by having two further conditions on its licence lifted was covered by the East Anglian Daily Times and the Bishop’s Stortford Independent. Melissa Dowdeswell, our Acting Chief Operating Officer and Director of Nursing, Safety and Quality, was interviewed on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire on Friday’s drivetime show. Supporting charity convoyEEAST’s continued support of the annual East Coast Trust Truckers children’s charity convoy was covered by the Eastern Daily Press (EDP), Norwich Evening News and Lowestoft Journal following a proactive press release. EEAST’s involvement was also highlighted in coverage after the event by the EDP, Lowestoft Journal, Norwich Evening News and Great Yarmouth Mercury.   

Charity donationA charity donation by the Kings Heads in Loddon to its local community first responders was picked up by the Beccles and Bungay Journal and the Eastern Daily Press (EDP).   

Dogs initiative helping EEAST staffA new scheme at EEAST to support the mental health of staff by introducing approved dogs was reported on by the Bishop’s Stortford Independent. Project lead Amanda Harris says that the initiative builds on what she learned from Cambridgeshire Police’s welfare dog project in 2020.
