What’s Next for ePCR and Out of Area Hospitals?

Barnet Hospital - one of the out of area hospitals the Trust regularly conveys patients

Now that the roll out of the new ePCR system on iPads has been completed, what are the plans for hospitals outside of the area served by the Trust which our crews regularly convey patients to?

We’ve analysed the out of area hospitals used by EEAST crews and prioritised them based on the type and average number visits over a period of time. They are:

  • Queens Hospital, Romford
  • Harefield Hospital
  • Barnet General Hospital
  • Whipps Cross Hospital
  • North Middlesex Hospital
  • Milton Keynes General Hospital
  • Stoke Mandeville Hospital
  • Royal London Hospital

Our target date to introduce Siren Notification Board in the first phase of out of area hospitals listed above is late spring. This will be done on a rolling basis, subject to the availability of acute hospital staff for discussions, installation and training.
