Why your information matters

Any organisation is reliant on up to date staff information to ensure that it is making the most informed decisions for its workforce.

As we work towards further cultural change right across EEAST, it is important that our staff records are a true representation of the people who work at the Trust. If you have not done so recently, please take a couple of minutes to access Electronic Staff record (ESR) self-service and check your personal information, which may need updating or may not be complete.

ESR holds your personal information and is the ongoing record of your employment within the NHS. It’s self-service function allows you to update your data quickly and effectively. You can access your data through the self-serve portal of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).

Currently, 13% of staff have not completed their personal information in relation to ethnic origin and 35% have not declared their disability status. Without this information, we cannot gather a clear picture of the diversity of our workforce, nor can we ensure that we are meeting the needs of all our diverse staff groups, being representative of all our colleagues, or meeting the needs of those team members who require reasonable adjustments to be made in the workplace.

We are working hard to make sure that changes are taking place across the organisation to develop a forward thinking, open and transparent culture. We want to be the best employer we possibly can, but we do need your help to allow us to do this.

The information you provide is completely confidential and only used for statutory monitoring and reporting purposes.
