Highlighting our work to the public: Black Friday twitterthon

Winter wise ntk

For those of you on Twitter and who follow @EastEnglandAmb, please support our ‘24 Hours in EoE’ marathon on Friday and Saturday – the first of its kind.

We will be in the three control rooms between 7am-7pm on the 18th, and then with a Cambridgeshire ambulance crew from 7.30pm -7.30am on the 19th.

The Twitterthon will shine a light on our operations in a 24-hour period, and in particular on the day known in the emergency services as Black Friday. Our 14,000+ followers will get the feel for the 999 calls we receive over 12 hours, and then the response aspect during the ride out.

This is part of our Wise Up For Winter campaign, which you can follow using #winterwise. We’re urging all staff and volunteers to help their family and friends become winter wise by using the advice, guidance and materials you can find here.

This week we’re also highlighting the ‘have fun, be safe’ pre-Christmas and New Year messages for party-goers.

Anyone is welcome to support the communications team in helping us get the #winterwise messages out there – just email communications@eastamb.nhs.uk for more information, or to suggest ideas you have.
