CFR takeover week success

Last week the Trust promoted community first responders (CFRs) to coincide with National Volunteer Week and said thank you for their commitment and dedication to the role.

Each day the Trust released an infographic with information about CFRs in local areas, Trust Chief Executive Anthony Marsh sent a personal message to all CFRs and a new training website was launched for new recruits and volunteers’ annual assessments.

ITV Anglia featured Soham CFR Jacqueline Whipp and followed her as she attended a patient and the Eastern Daily Press is publishing a feature on CFRs after meeting Community Partnership Manager Andrew Barlow and several CFRs in Norwich.

Locality Director Dave Fountain said: “The week was really successful and has really raised the profile of the responder scheme. We have really engaged with our volunteers and said thank you to them for all that they do in several different ways.”
