Happy birthday Need to Know!

Tomorrow marks the first year anniversary of the Need to Know rolling news site – and since then the award-winning site has had more than 1.2 million page views!

The most activity recorded on the site was on Friday 3^rd October, following the news of the senior paramedic and senior EMT roles, with more than 5,600 visits to the site that day.

Whilst most visits are from a desktop, just over 10% of staff have viewed the site from a tablet or mobile making the most of the site’s optimisation to suit the device you are viewing it from. Articles are added every day so remember to save the link on your smartphone, so you hear the latest news first.

The site also won an Award of Excellence from the Institute of Internal Communications in July.

Hundreds of comments have been made on articles and these are all passed on to the most relevant department of the Trust for a response. One development we’re hoping to make is to send notifications when an answer has been posted, to save staff checking back to see if their comment has been replied to.
