Trust Chair closes first HCRT course

The first 13 healthcare referral tier (HCRT) staff have finished their training and are now ready to transport ‘urgent’ patients to hospital.

The course finished on Friday (8th August) in Cambourne and was closed by Trust Chair Sarah Boulton, who said: “The support and the care that they will be delivering to patients who need help will better the service we provide, which is what we are all here for. I wish them a long, happy and safe career in our service.”

Patient transport staff will be trained to be part of HCRT to allow emergency crews to respond to 999 calls.
