Sad passing of Queen Elizabeth II

Black and White Crest

Dear Colleagues,

Many of you will have heard the very sad news that Her Majesty the Queen has passed away earlier this evening and I know that this news will affect many of you deeply.

I have issued the following statement which reflects the example that I believe she set for us all.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen. We are grateful for her outstanding commitment and service to our country over the decades. The Queen has been the very embodiment of selfless public duty and an incredible example for us all.

“The Royal Family have had a home at Sandringham within our region since 1862. We know that both the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were very fond of it and enjoyed spending time there.

“We offer our deepest condolences to the Royal Family at this extremely difficult time.”
